The General Training Activities For GREENMOBILITY Project: Creating Future Mobility Scenarios

Ott 22, 2024 | News

The general training activity purpose is to train people on the concept of sustainable urban mobility and how this will benefit the quality of life in cities but also to contribute to the fight against climate change. Further, the general training activities will include all the data and learning material regarding sustainable urban mobility, best practices, etc., and also explain the online collaborative platform prepared by the projects.

The general training activities have a strong connection to the overall goals of the GreenMobility project, as they aim to collect all the necessary information for building capacity and training the project’s target audience, with the goal of raising awareness and promoting changes in behavior related to urban mobility.

Specifically, we will first train higher education institutions to attract students and academic staff, and then we will open the training activities to all citizens who wish to participate, as well as local and public authorities.

At least 50 people, distinct from those trained for the Greenmobility self-assessment toolkit, will attend the general training/workshops. Therefore, the general training activities will involve a minimum of 10 participants from each. Before initiating the workshops aimed at assisting pre-partners with general training activities, the University of Thessaly, acting as the activity’s leader, conducted internal training for the rest of the consortium. They outlined the training’s structure and ensured its uniformity across all partners’ countries.

Each partner will conduct two training sessions in their respective countries, after which they will provide feedback to UTH using a pre-prepared form. After the training activities, all partners from each country will provide a detailed report summarizing the received feedback.
